Russell's Eastern in Carolina
Russell's Merriam in Musselshell
Russell's Osceola in Southern Florida
Russell's Rio in Southwest Texas
About the time I started building calls, I got interested in taking a Grand Slam. I already had many Eastern birds when I had the opportunity to go on a Merriam turkey hunt in Musselshell, Montana. Two years later a friend from work asked me to go along with him on an Osceola turkey hunt in southern Florida, and the two of us went to southwest Texas the next year where I got my Rio Grande.
All the turkeys in my Grand Slam were called in with Bud & Betty calls and I look forward to doing more hunting around this great country of ours and calling in lots more turkeys! You can read about my hunts at the links above.
Bud & Betty's "America's Tag Team"TM Photos & Stories
It’s always been my philosophy that while other companies say “use our product and you’ll kill more game”, I don’t believe that is actually true. No piece of equipment can do anything to bring a successful end to a hunt unless the user has some knowledge of hunting, his prey, the situation, weather, terrain, and his equipment limitations. For this reason, I feel it is imperative to say “if you use my products, along with the necessary woodsmanship skills, you’ll kill more game”.
To that end, I insist that Bud & Betty Hunting Calls always promote hunting skills and woodsmanship techniques in cooperation with our products. All our website text, dvd & video dialog, our advertising, and all conversations at trade shows and seminars will always express this attitude. If you watch any of our videos or visit with us at trade shows, we always push guidelines and techniques on how to be a good hunter. We will always promote the sharing of all woodsmanship skills and tips between all employees, volunteers, customers and potential customers.
I feel that Bud & Betty Customers are some of the best hunters out there, and want to provide a venue for them to share their hunting stories and photos, along with any tips and tricks they use to get their tags filled! So send in your pictures and an account of your hunt to turkeycalls@budandbetty.com and we'll post them for everyone to see!
And be sure to check out our "America's Tag Team"TM Photos & Stories. Here at Bud & Betty, we have a little different philosophy about who the “pros” are!!
